Storm and Flooding in Santa Monica

This lower level was flooded with groundwater from a recent storm in Santa Monica. Fortunately, the water was not highly contaminated, so most items and furnishings were salvageable. We moved everything out to prevent continuing water absorption and used portable extractors to remove the standing water. We started the process very quickly after the initial intrusion, thus mitigating the water damage. We floated the carpet for drying using air movers and dehumidifiers. We sanitized and deodorized the affected rooms to improve air quality and to inhibit mold and microbial growth. The owner was very pleased when we did the final walk through, and he witnessed the return to normal "Like it never even happened."
